The 4 Camera System can be sold as a package, per item, or per your particular need. Our bundled system is based on the most popular application. It comes with the DVR, Hard Disk, Monitor, and 4 cameras. Some have tried using a wireless camera for the 4th camera in the back of the trailer connecting it to a 12v source that they can move to another trailer with not too much involved.
However, we do not sell any wireless set up for this type of installation at this time. Wireless is subject to interference and we do not want to offer a system that is not fully tested and meets our required level of performance and even more important, Yours.
The 7 inch monitor does have 2 video inputs and can be switched so if you did decide to add the wireless you could still use the 4th camera sold with the system perhaps for backing up to connect to a trailer or checking your hoses and connections. Although it would not be recording unless plugged into the DVR, you could switch to the camera input on the 7" monitor. So basically, with our 4 channel system and the 7 inch monitor, you have the ability to connect 5 cameras with 4 of them being recorded and the other for viewing only.
Many of our "car haulers" have expressed they get a better rate if they have a camera system on their rig. This may be something worth looking into. Even insurance companies are offering a better rate when a camera system is in use on the rig. What better way to proof you were not at fault in the unfortunate event of an accident when you have video evidence to provide?
When we pay thousands for insurance this is a small investment that can pay for itself a hundred times over in one incident. With over 20 days (480 hours) of continuous video on a 500gb hard drive, you can go back and look through the videos months back if you only use the system while driving.

Due to the recent flooding in Tailand which is a major source of Hard Drives, costs have gone up susbstantially because of the limited supplies. The shortage is expected to continue through the better half of 2012. As a result, the cost of the systems with hard drives are higher than anticipated. We are hoping to be able to continue offering systems with hard drives but supplies are limited and costly. We will not use refurbished hard drives. The systems can also record to SD cards up to 64gb which would yield approximately 64 hours of continuous recording before overwriting the oldest files.
The cost of hard drives is double what it was in October.

If there is a different camera configuration that better suits your need please contact me. In most cases we can change the cameras shipped with your system without any price change. If you do not want IR cameras we do have mirrored cameras without IR. If you want a system without a Hard drive we can quote a price and send you an invoice. Without a hard drive cost is approximately $100 less.
